A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT....
Welcome to the Greater Newark Chamber of Commerce web site! Our Chamber consists of over 200 area businesses
and individuals  working together to address issues affecting businesses, and in the process, improving the quality
of life for all of us living in and around the Village of Newark / Town of Arcadia.
I am a life long resident of Newark, and I strongly believe the this is a great community to work, live and visit. As
president of the Chamber of Commerce, it has been a pleasure to work with the leaders of our community for the
betterment of the community. The Chamber is a not-for-profit organization of business people. It is the voice of the
business, identifying and addressing challenges facing the community, helping to establish priorities and mobolizing
the resources of our many members, to build a strong, more prosperous community and create a more favorable
climate for a successful business.
Our chanber office is open Monday thru Friday from 9am to 1pm. It is a clearing house for information. The phone is
constantly ringing with inquiries from local as well as out of state residents and business people. The questions are
varied: from tourism, school information, real estate, demographics, etc. We can't answer all questions, but, we pride
ourselves on knowing where to get the information. We are proud to be the front door to our community, creating a
positive perception of the Village of Newark and the Town of Arcadia.
Come and visit us!! We are just minutes away from the great shopping, the Wine Trails of Seneca and Cayuga Lakes
and we are conveniently located along the historic Erie Canal.
Thank you,
John Tickner, President
